How to Request Account Deletion

Care At Door respects your privacy and provides users with the ability to request deletion of their account and personal information. You can request account deletion directly through the Care At Door app by following these steps:

  1. Open the Care At Door app.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Tap Request Account Deletion.
  5. Verify your registered WhatsApp number.
  6. Enter the OTP sent for verification.
  7. Review the deletion information and confirm your request.

Once your request is successfully submitted and verified, your account deletion request will be processed.

What Data Will Be Deleted

Upon approval of your account deletion request, Care At Door will permanently delete or anonymize the following information associated with your account:

  • User account information
  • Name and contact details
  • Saved addresses
  • Patient profiles and family member profiles
  • Profile photographs
  • Communication preferences
  • Device identifiers associated with your account
  • Saved payment preferences (if applicable)
  • Other personal information that is no longer required for legal, operational, or compliance purposes

This information will no longer be accessible through your account.

Data That May Be Retained

Certain records may be retained even after account deletion where required for legal, regulatory, operational, fraud-prevention, medical, financial, safety, or dispute-resolution purposes. These records may include:

Medical Records

  • Prescriptions uploaded or generated through the platform
  • Medical documents
  • Treatment-related records
  • Clinical notes and healthcare service records

Booking & Service Records

  • Service booking history
  • Appointment records
  • Provider assignment records
  • Service completion records
  • Cancellation records

Financial & Compliance Records

  • Invoices
  • Payment records
  • Refund records
  • Transaction logs
  • Tax-related records

Security & Audit Records

  • System logs
  • Security logs
  • Fraud-prevention records
  • Audit trails
  • Records required for legal investigations or dispute resolution

Such retained information will only be used for the purposes required by applicable laws, regulatory obligations, healthcare recordkeeping requirements, financial compliance, fraud prevention, safety, and legitimate business interests.

Retention Period

Retained records may be stored for the period required under applicable laws, healthcare regulations, tax requirements, accounting standards, legal obligations, dispute resolution requirements, or legitimate operational needs. After the applicable retention period expires, such records may be securely deleted or anonymized.

Effect of Account Deletion

After account deletion:

  • You will no longer be able to access your Care At Door account.
  • Saved addresses and patient profiles will be removed.
  • Future bookings cannot be made using the deleted account.
  • You may create a new account in the future using the onboarding process, subject to applicable verification requirements.
